As a very small business, we have very limited spaces available as we like to give your babies our undivided attention. With that being said, we can not accommodate last minute cancellations. We put these policies on hold for most of 2020 and into 2021 as COVID still felt like an unknown. We have reinstated them as of March 1st, 2021. As we move into the third year of the pandemic, we hope you all can understand that we can no longer waive fees for last minute cancellations due to covid related issues. Thank you for understanding as we continue to do our best to accommodate all our furry friends!

Any overnight visits (boarding or sitting) cancelled with less than 7 full days notice for any reason will result in a 50% cancellation fee. Cancelling/changing dates with less than 72 hours notice for any reason will result in payment being due in full.

Any walks or drop in visits cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are due in full.

Any cancellation of any service booked during a holiday will result in an automatic 25% cancellation fee, a 50% cancellation fee if cancelled with less than 30 days notice, and due in full if canceled with less than 14 days notice. Holidays include: New Years, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all school holidays (spring break, fall break, etc).Days/weeks surrounding these dates are included in holiday bookings, please ask for clarification at the time of your request if you are unsure if your booking would be considered “holiday”.

Please be mindful of the time you have scheduled for drop off/pick up of your pup and arrive within 15 minutes of that time. While we understand things happen, we rely on our schedule to make sure we can serve all of our clients to the very best of our ability. If you need to make a change to your time, please do so with at least 24 hours notice, and we will accommodate if we can. We have a 3 time grace period of early/late arrivals, after that you will be charged a $20 fee each time you arrive outside your arrival window.

All pets must be crate trained. This means your pet needs to be able to settle quietly during rest periods, is potty trained, and does not chew/attempt to escape their crate. If you prefer your pup not be crated during their stay, we have a very limited amount of spaces available for free roamers. Please note if you choose this option, you are responsible for any damages created by your pup, up to $1000 per stay. You will also need to provide an emergency contact who knows they may be responsible for the care of your pet if they are unable to settle/are a danger to themselves free roaming.

All pets in the care of The Canine Adventure Company must be up to date on standard vaccinations and on preventative flea, tick, and heart worm medication.This is applicable for every service, including those provided in client homes. Record of this will need to be provided once a year, and on request if needed. No exceptions.
